Video Production Collaborative

The Video Production Collaborative (VPC) is a free audio visual technology program for young people ages 16-21 from Dakota or Ramsey Counties led by Audio Visual Coordinator, Rob Frost.

During this 10 month program participants will gain real world experience with live streaming, video production equipment, video editing software, audio post-production, and lighting at The Garage and Treasury.

How to apply:

We would like you to submit a creative 30 second video containing important information about yourself and your goals. If you don’t have video editing software, download DaVinci Resolve (it’s free) and get to know it’s interface (there are tonnnnnss of video tutorials on Youtube). Use what’s at your disposal, we don’t expect high production quality but instead high quality content with attention to detail.

The video should contain a talking head, voice over, or compelling visuals answering these simple questions:

  1. Who are you?
  2. Why would you like to Join VPC?
  3. How much experience do you have with Video and Audio Production?
  4. What do you hope to gain from VPC?

Besides the content of the video, applicants will also be considered for their organizational skills. It’s important that files sent are correctly formatted and labeled as .MOV files and label them YOUR NAME_YOUR AGE_YOUR COUNTY.

All individuals will be notified of selection by April 26th, and our first meeting will be on April 30th at 6pm.

Please send your videos to rob@catalystmusic.org via Google Drive or Dropbox shared link by April 23rd.
